Come in Out of the Cold: A benefit concert for Inn Out of the Cold Ft. Genevieve Fisher with Ben Heffernan
November 7 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$50.00
Inn Out of the Cold
Inn Out of the Cold provides shelter, food, and warm clothing seven nights a week in the winter months. Homelessness is not just a problem in bigger cities. The problem exists in St Thomas and Elgin County as well. There are many local agencies that offer support to the homeless, but for a variety of reasons, the homeless cannot always go to these agencies. The lack of emergency shelter for men and women was a growing concern in our community.
Before the creation of the Inn Out of the Cold there were no emergency shelters for adults 18 and up in St. Thomas and all of Elgin County. The lack of emergency housing often results in people having to leave their employment or quit their schooling in order to find housing in our area. Currently, the shelter operates only during the winter months but the need exists in the warmer months too. But in order to expand services, the Inn needs funds among other things.
Come In Out of the Cold
The Small Business Enterprise Centre along with Railway City Tourism and the St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation thought we could put an evening together to help on the funds front and we were joined by Genevieve Fisher, Ben Heffernan, The CASO Station, Salt & Pepper Meals, and Seed Confections on that plan.
We are excited to bring these performers together for an evening of entertainment and bring you In out of the Cold in support of Inn Out of the Cold. Together we can make a difference for those in our community in need of assistance.

The full proceeds of this event will benefit Inn Out of the Cold and their programming requirements.
