The 9 boxes of the canvas lets you visualize all the components needed to turn customer needs/problems into a profitable company. The completed Canvas will then provide a sound foundation on which to write your Business Plan. The process of creating a business plan is a beneficial one, as it helps you think more deeply about all of the different aspects of your business. The truth of the matter is that to be taken seriously by investors and banks, or for grant opportunities, a business plan is essential to your success.
